Abrasive waterjet cutting is a method of cutting shapes and patterns from virtually any type of material using high pressure water and abrasive materials such as crushed garnet.

Waterjet cutting capabilities offer a flexible and accurate method of cutting complex or difficult parts that may not be suitable for die cutting or stamping and where material integrity must remain intact.  Some of the benefits of waterjet / abrasive cutting include:

  • Minimizes tooling costs
    Can produce small volume and one-time runs without the added cost of tooling.
  • Maximizes material yield
    The precision with which the water stream cuts creates minimal kerf width allowing for tight tolerance and nesting capabilities. This in turn maximizes the yield of parts created per sheet of material.
  • Variety of suitable materials for waterjet and abrasive cutting
    Waterjet cutting can cut through nearly any material and at thicknesses of up to 5 inches.
